Go Telecom Data Centre Audit, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia

When GO Telecom considered that they might be able to lease out some of their spare data centre space in Riyadh they realised that they needed to have external certification of the facility in order to successfully market their services.

An International tender was put out to try and find a suitably qualified and independent engineering consultancy that specialised in data centre auditing. Capitoline was awarded the contract and audited the 1600 m2 of computer room floor space plus associated support facilities.

GO Telecom were looking for Tier 3 certification according to the TIA 942 standard. Capitoline was able to assist the client in the engineering design work needed to achieve this prestigious ranking.

GO is the key Brand of Etihad Atheeb Telecom Company, the leading Cloud Telecommunications Operator in the Middle East. With more than 150 thousand customers, GO covers voice services and broadband internet services in 11 cities in Saudi Arabia.

has added to Atheeb’s strength in terms of seconded resource and industry knowledge. On 5 April 2009, GO received a license officially from the Communication and Information Technology Commission (CITC) after completing all the license issuance requirements. GO Telecom also acquired 2 x 28 MHz of spectrum in the 3.5GHz frequency band across 13 regional divisions of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Under the scope of its license, valid for a period of 25
