Alghanim Industries Data Centre Audit, Kuwait

Alghanim Industries, is one of the largest, privately-owned companies in the Gulf region. A multi-national company in outlook with operations in 40 countries, Alghanim Industries is a multi-billion dollar conglomerate with more than 30 businesses.

Capitoline conducted a physical audit of the data centre and associated mechanical and electrical (M&E) facilities.

The team took photographs of the site and associated M&E facilities, recorded power readings from UPS and electrical metering points, measured the physical dimensions of the data centre area and measured the temperature, humidity, sound and light levels in the data centre area. The audit also included interviews with Alghanim staff to understand some of the data centre operational practices in more detail.

A full report was prepared showing the relationship of the existing data centre to the TIA 942 Tier model and a gap analysis undertaken to give a path forward to reach the client’s desire tier level rating.
