Chevron data centre audit and training workshop

Chevron is the third-largest oil producer in Nigeria and one of its largest investors. In Nigeria, they operate under a joint-venture arrangement with the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation and have assets on land and in near-offshore regions of the Niger Delta.

Chevron also has extensive interests in deep- water operations, operating in the Agbami Field, one of Nigeria’s largest deep water discoveries.

Analysing seismic data for oil wells needs extensive computational ability and Chevron Nigeria’s main data centre is at their headquarters in Lagos.

As the facility is getting quite old Chevron looked to Capitoline for their unique blend of on-site training seminars followed by a consultant-led audit of their own facility, seen through the fresh eyes of their newly trained engineers.

Chevron’s engineers were now able to perform their own environmental measurements and single point of failure analysis and construct an economic improvement plan, all under the watchful eye of an experienced Capitoline data centre auditor.
