Capitoline nets more NHS data centre support contracts

UK nurse holding clipboardWrightington, Wigan & Leigh NHS Foundation Trust becomes the latest NHS department to adopt audit, design and training services from Capitoline. They are added to NHS Lothian, NHS Wales and Medway NHS Trust who have all become customers of Capitoline.

Capitoline has audited the NHS data centre and computer room facilities to ensure compliance to international technical and resilience standards and also the Health and Safety requirements of the British Government and National Health Service.

Hospital and health centres have some unique requirements for availability and resilience of services plus protection of confidential information and must show an audit trail of data and decisions. More and more the health industry relies on information technology and it is vital that these remain available despite any problems with power or other facilities services.

Very often the data centres and computer rooms are within the hospital limits and so have the extra requirements for cleanliness and safety issues that any other clinical department must meet.
